29 May 2026 – Chin Defence Force (CDF-Asho) together with its allied resistance forces attacked a Myanmar junta military logistics vehicle along the Minbu–Ann road in Minbu township, Magway Region, according to a statement released today. 

The operation was jointly carried out by CDF-Asho, the Ministry of Defence under the National Unity Government (NUG), Minbu Township Pa Ka Pha (People’s Defence Team), and the New Society Army (NSA).

As a result of the mine ambush, six junta soldiers were reportedly killed, and three others were captured alive. Resistance forces also seized weapons and ammunition during the operation.

The attack took place on 28 May, and clashes continued for approximately 20 minutes following the explosion.

According to the resistance groups, the seized military equipment included three Uzi submachine guns, two MA-1 rifles, one MA-2 rifle, one box of 5.56 mm ammunition, six boxes of 122 mm MLRS rocket propellant charges, and 28 rounds of 122 mm MLRS rockets.

CDF-Asho stated that the operation was conducted near a junta military base within a heavily controlled area and demonstrated the growing operational capabilities of the People’s Defence Forces (Pa Ka Pha) and allied resistance groups. – Reporting by Ben
