28 June 2026 — Four civilians were killed and at least nine others injured after the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military carried out airstrikes on a village in Saw township, Magway Region.
The attack occurred at approximately 7:00 pm on 27 June, when two jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base carried out two airstrikes on Nat Kaung Kyin village in the Laung She area of Saw township.
Local sources reported that there were no armed clashes in or around the village at the time of the attack.
The bombardment also set fire to around 10 houses, including the village monastery.

The latest attack comes amid an increase in military air operations across Chin State and the neighbouring Yaw region. Local sources reported that the military has continued daily airstrikes and aerial resupply missions in the area in recent days.
