1 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military carried out a series of airstrikes on eastern Mindat township, Chin State.
Local sources reported that two fighter jets from Tada-U Air Base conducted four airstrikes at approximately 4:29 am, 4:34 am, 4:37 am, and 4:42 am, dropping a total of eight bombs on locations east of Mindat town.
The attacks were followed by a Y-12 bomber aircraft, which operated between 5:00 am and 5:50 am, carrying out 14 bombing runs and dropping more than 40 bombs in clusters of three over the same area.
In total, SSPC aircraft conducted 18 airstrikes and dropped more than 48 bombs on eastern Mindat during the early hours of 1 July.
