2 June 2026 – The Falam Basic Education High School No. 2 has officially reopened in Falam town, Chin State since 1 June, and is currently accepting student enrollments.

This development follows the return of administrative functions to the area after the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military forces regained control of Falam town on 25 April 2026.

In the weeks following, over 100 non-Civil Disobedience Movement (Non-CDM) government employees returned to the township—the first group arriving from Kalay town of Sagaing Region on 6 May, followed by a second group from Hakha town on 22 May.

These returning personnel have actively registered with local SSPC education authorities and are spearheading efforts to reopen schools throughout the township.

According to recent reports, the movement to restore education services is expanding, with over 30 villages across Falam township contacting the education department to request permission to resume classes.

Efforts to normalize educational operations and infrastructure continue across the region as SSPC authorities and community members work to facilitate the reopening of additional schools.#
