SSPC drops bombs in overnight airstrikes on Mindat township

4 June 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) forces carried out intense overnight airstrikes on Mindat township, Chin State, yesterday.

Local monitoring sources reported that SSPC forces conducted multiple airstrikes targeting a location in the eastern part of Mindat township between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

A jet fighter from Tada-U Air Base carried out two strike runs, dropping a total of four bombs. A jet fighter from Aela Air Base conducted one strike run, dropping six heavy bombs in a single attack.

Meanwhile, a Y-12 bomber aircraft from Magway Air Base carried out repeated bombing runs, conducting eight airstrikes using five-bomb payloads.

Between 6:24 pm and 6:38 pm on 4 June, two jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base reportedly carried out airstrikes on the eastern part of the town, dropping at least eight bombs in four rounds of attacks on one location

In total, the coordinated air operations resulted in a significant number of explosions in the targeted area.

Details regarding civilian casualties and damage to infrastructure remain unconfirmed and are still under investigation, according to local sources. – Reporting by Ben
