20 April 2026 — The Chin People’s Union/Chin People’s Army (CPU/CPA) said its Central Executive Committee members met with leaders of the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), according to a statement released by CPU on 20 April.
The meeting took place in February after CPU/CPA members visited the Arakan region at the invitation of the United League of Arakan.
During the talks, both sides discussed issues of mutual benefit for the Chin and Arakan people and agreed on initial steps for future cooperation. They also reviewed developments in the ongoing Spring Revolution and discussed ways to strengthen long-term relations as neighbouring communities.
Photos released with the statement showed ULA/AA Commander-in-Chief Major General Tun Myat Naing and other leaders together with members of the CPU Central Executive Committee.
