23 December 2025 — Myanmar’s military conducted airstrikes on the villages of Haimual, Lumte, and Congkua in Falam Township, Chin State, in the early hours of this morning.

The attack occurred around 2:45 am on 23 December. Military aircraft reportedly dropped four bombs on and around Haimual, with at least two additional bombs falling between Lumte and Congkua, according to local sources.

One of the bombs near Lumte and Congkua remains unexploded. No civilian casualties have been reported.

A Haimual community leader told the Lungmili Post: “The moment we heard the flying noise of the jetfighter, we heard the explosion within seconds. We initially thought the bomb exploded in the air before hitting the ground.”

Local sources confirmed there was no ground fighting in the area at the time of the aerial assault. The bombs are reported to have exploded near the village church and cemetery, causing minor damage to one house.

Residents claim the military has intensified ground and air operations in an effort to regain control of Falam town, with airstrikes now occurring almost daily in the surrounding area. – Reporting by Ben
