Zomi Online TV to be Launched Soon
01 September 2011: In an effort to forge better understanding and communication, the Zomi International Network is soon launching a TV website covering news about people from Chin State worldwide.
The Zomi TV channel, which will be available to watch online, is aimed to deliver breaking news and others including political issues related to the Chin, Mizo, Zomi and Kuki across the globe.
Mr. Gin Mang from Canada said in his email that the Zomi TV can be viewed on the Internet soon featuring news updates on people from Chin State, Burma.
He also made an appeal for voluntary contribution and participation from video editors and cameramen across Chin State.
Kim Shoute, an 11-year-old Grade 7 student, has made a contribution of an initial advertisement video clip, which contains an introductory theme, and logo with soundtrack.
One of the comments posted by an Internet user challenged: “If an 11-year-old boy can do this, what can you also do even better?”
Detailed information about the programmes, an official date of launch and language to be used in the TV channel is not revealed yet.
