In the blink of an eye, three mothers say goodbye
They didn’t choose this way as they began their day
Never did they ever dream, three mothers would scream today

A grateful nation pays our tribute
With our highest honour and gratitude
Let grieving mothers be comforted
And your sacrifice be rewarded

Your stars engraved on wall of freedom
As a witness to your martyrdom
When the bells of liberation ring
And children wàke up to morning birds sing

With tears of joy in mothers’ eyes, then we say freedom shall never die#
