Y-12 aircraft drops over 70 bombs during morning airstrikes Mindat

17 June 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military Y-12 aircraft carried out a series of airstrikes near Mindat town in Chin State today.

According to local sources, the aircraft operating from Tada-U Air Base conducted bombing runs between approximately 7:00 am and 8:12 am, dropping more than 70 bombs in around 17 bombing runs on a location east of Mindat town.

Information on casualties and damage was not immediately available.

Meanwhile, local sources reported that a Myanmar military Y-8 transport aircraft landed at Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 368 in Kyauktu, Magway Region, at around 2:00 pm on 16 June.

The aircraft delivered ammunition, military supplies, and more than 60 troops to the battalion. Sources also said the aircraft evacuated approximately 40 wounded soldiers and military personnel from the area.
