16 June 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) intensified military operations in Mindat town, Chin State, in the evening today.
The aerial attacks were reported at approximately 7:17 pm and 7:20 pm, with two fighter jets from Naypyidaw’s Aela Air Base carrying out an airstrike on a location in Mindat town.
According to local sources, two fighter jets from Naypyidaw’s Aela Air Base targeted a location in Mindat during the attack. The aircraft reportedly dropped four bombs in two separate strikes.
The bombs were believed to be 500-pound munitions, although this information has not been independently verified.
Earlier the same day, at approximately 7:00 am and 7:12 am, two military fighter jets also launched four airstrikes on a location in the eastern part of Mindat township.
