15 April 2026 – Chin joint revolutionary forces seized a strategic hilltop base from the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military near Khuangli village in Falam township, Chin State, following heavy fighting that lasted nearly a full day on 13-14 April.

The joint forces, which include the Chinland Council (CC) and Chin Brotherhood (CB) allied groups, fully captured the fortified position and reported seizing substantial military equipment.

Reports indicate more than 20 firearms (specifically 24 small arms), a large cache of ammunition, explosives, landmines, and Starlink equipment were captured.

SSPC forces suffered significant losses and responded with repeated airstrikes, including the use of two jet fighters, during the engagement. The joint Chin forces also sustained casualties, with resistance sources reporting four members killed from the CNA, CNDF, CDF-Zotung, and CDF-Hualngo units.

This battle is situated within a major, ongoing five-month SSPC offensive—supported by approximately 1,000 troops, artillery, and airpower—aimed at retaking Falam town and the nearby Surbung airfield.

The fighting reflects the wider, aggressive military campaign by the SSPC across Chin State. Recent actions include devastating airstrikes on civilian homes in Mindat town and the reported burning of at least 14 houses in Tuphei village on 11 April. – Reporting by Daniel
