15 April 2026 – A fighter from the Chinland Defence Force-Zotung (CDF-Zotung), identified as Salai Tu Naing Aung, has been killed during clashes in the Falam-Kalay corridor of Chin State.
CDF-Zotung confirmed that Salai Tu Naing Aung fell on 14 April 2026, while taking part in operations dedicated to eradicating the military dictatorship and establishing a Federal Democratic Union.
The fighting took place around 13-14 April, amid continued confrontation between State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military forces and allied Chin resistance groups.
Local sources reported that allied Chin forces successfully captured an SSPC military camp near Khuangli village outside Falam town.
CDF-Zotung publicly expressed sorrow for the loss and honored Salai Tu Naing Aung’s sacrifice. Unconfirmed local reports also mentioned an additional casualty from the fighting: a Chinland Defence Force-Hualngoram (CDF-Hualngoram) member identified as Mr. Thiang Kim Thang (Thang Pu).
This engagement in the Falam-Kalay area is part of the continuous and escalating violence across Chin State and Sagaing Region.#
