20 June 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military conducted two rounds of airstrikes near Kanpetlet town, Chin State on Saturday.

The first wave of attacks took place at approximately 7:34 am, 7:36 am, 7:39 am, and 7:44 am, when two jet fighter aircraft from Tada-U Air Base targeted a location east of Kanpetlet. 

The aircraft carried out four bombing runs, dropping two bombs during each sortie for a total of eight bombs before leaving the area.

The second wave of airstrikes was reported later the same day at approximately 12:00 pm, 12:10 pm, 12:13 pm, and 12:17 pm. 

Local sources said that two jet fighters again targeted a location near Kanpetlet town, conducting four additional bombing runs and dropping another eight bombs.

In total, the aircraft reportedly dropped 16 bombs in eight sorties during the two waves of attacks.

Information regarding casualties, injuries, and damage to civilian property has not yet been confirmed. Further details remain under verification. – Reporting by Ben
