3 June 2026 — Members of the Zomi Revolutionary Army-Eastern Command (ZRA-EC) were observed maneuvering through the township of Tedim on the morning of 3 June 2026, traveling toward Sezang village, according to local residents and regional media reports.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the group—traveling in a light vehicle and on a motorcycle—moving along the main road of Tedim town.

Before their departure toward Sezang, reports indicate that the ZRA-EC members stopped at or passed through the vicinity of a State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military camp situated in Sakollam Ward.

While the official objective of the movement remains unconfirmed and no statement has been issued by relevant authorities, local speculation suggests the activity may be linked to ongoing security operations within the Tedim area.

This movement occurs against a backdrop of intensified volatility in Chin State. Recent reports from local media highlight ongoing consolidation efforts by the SSPC-backed ZRA in the wake of the recent recapture of Tonzang.

The security landscape in the region remains highly fluid, characterized by a series of significant military escalations. Recent weeks have seen aggressive SSPC maneuvers, including heavy airstrikes on Kanpetlet and Matupi, as well as an increase in military helicopter activity across Falam and Tedim townships. – Reporting by Daniel
