6 December 2025 – The Myanmar military junta conducted airstrikes on Sumhrang village in Falam township yesterday afternoon.

A Chinese-made Y-12 aircraft reportedly dropped approximately 20 bombs on the village.

Local sources confirmed that there were no injuries or casualties, as the village had been evacuated ahead of the advancing troops from the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC).

However, a villager reported damage to houses, with a detailed assessment of the destruction yet to be confirmed.

The SSPC forces are currently advancing towards Falam town, utilizing the road on which Sumhrang is situated. The aerial bombardment is believed to have been an attempt to clear the path for the troops as they neared the village.

Last week, the SSPC military junta conducted airstrikes and arson attacks on the villages of Thungthul and Valung in Falam township, and Zawngkawng in Tedim township.

Clashes between the SSPC troops and local defence forces have intensified in Falam and Tedim townships in recent weeks.#
