20 November 2025 – Civilian infrastructure in Thuklai village, Tedim township, sustained significant damage after the Myanmar military launched at least two nighttime airstrikes.

The attacks, which occurred in the Siyin Area in the early hours of last night, struck residential homes, a church, and school buildings.

According to local residents, the targets damaged included the Thuklai village High School dormitory, the Thuklai Assembly of God (AG) Church, the AG Section Office, and several private residences. No civilian casualties have been reported.

A woman from Thuklai recounted the terrifying experience, detailing the timeline of the attack. “The first strike was shortly after midnight, around 12:21 am, and the second followed about ten minutes later, around 12:33 am,” she said.

The intensity of the bombing was immediately felt. “The explosion shook our house. The doors and windows in our basement suddenly flew open. The galvanized iron sheets made all kinds of noises and were covered with holes. We couldn’t sleep all night,” she added.

These aerial bombings are taking place amidst a massive ground and air offensive by the junta’s military in northern Chin State, which began in late October. The offensive has led to ongoing, heavy clashes with various Chin revolutionary joint forces.

Local reports suggest that the daily escalation in aerial bombings is a direct response to the heavy casualties suffered by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC), formerly State Administration Council (SAC), during these clashes.

Furthermore, the airstrike on Thuklai village also followed an announcement by the PDF-Zoland (People’s Defence Force-Zoland) that they had recaptured the strategically important Kennedy Hill SSPC military outpost, located only about 3 miles from Thuklai village.

Meanwhile, local defence groups operating under the Chin Brotherhood Alliance and the Chinland Council continue to conduct joint operations across both Tedim and Falam townships against SSPC’s troops.

The SAC has also been reinforcing its presence in northern Chin State, reportedly establishing positions at Saimual, known locally as the entrance to Tedim town, and setting up a base in Taingen village in Tedim township.
