30 October 2025 – Fighting between Myanmar’s military forces and local defense groups intensified today in villages along the Tedim-Kalay road, with reports of clashes near Tedim town and Taingen village.

Local sources confirmed that the conflict saw an ambush by PDF-Zoland on junta soldiers in Sezang village, a settlement deserted by its residents due to troop deployments.

A Tedim resident, speaking anonymously to Chinland Guardian, reported hearing an exchange of fire near the Tedim viewpoint around 1 pm today.

According to Zogram Media, PDF-Zoland, allied with the Chin Brotherhood, engaged State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) troops near Vualvum village on the Tedim-Taingen road. Simultaneously, local defense groups operating under the Chinland Council ambushed troops advancing from Kalay town.

Yesterday, over 270 Myanmar military soldiers and two trucks were observed leaving Tedim town, spending the night in empty houses in Sezang village.

Separately, approximately 100 troops en route from Tedim to Tonzang yesterday reportedly retreated to Tedim after encountering local defense forces near Mualkawi village.

Another incident yesterday in Mualpi village involved clashes between Myanmar’s military and CDF CDM Siyin (Civic Defense Militia), resulting in the death of one CDF CDM Siyin member.

In recent days, Myanmar’s military junta has been reinforcing its troops in Tedim town by air, signaling a potential escalation of the conflict in the region.#
