28 October 2025 – Myanmar’s military junta has continued its campaign of airstrikes in Chin State, with the latest incident occurring on 27 October 2025.
A jet fighter from the Naypyitaw Air Base dropped two bombs on Mindat town around 7:51 pm, targeting an area reportedly controlled by the Chin Defence Force–Mindat (CDF-Mindat).
The extent of casualties and damage remains unconfirmed at this time.
This recent attack follows a previous airstrike on 26 October, when the junta bombed the police station in Mindat town with jet fighters around 2:18 pm. Residents reported significant destruction to the building after two bombing runs.
On 24 October, an airstrike in Kanpetlet town during a wedding ceremony resulted in four fatalities and over fifteen injuries.
Throughout October, the military has intensified its air operations across multiple townships, including Kanpetlet, Mindat, Matupi, Hakha, and Thantlang.
Chin Defence groups have issued warnings to civilians, urging caution, advising against large gatherings, and emphasizing vigilance for potential future air attacks. – Reporting by Benjamin
