Darkness is terrifyingly asleep
Like Evil’s power so deep
Even dogs dare not scream
Under the spooky moonbeam
But withhold every whisper
Gunners ruthlessly pull
Where there is no rule
The Generals have no brains
Yet maintain Burma’s reins
From the Naypidaw bunker
Everybody lives in fear
Whilst old men shed but tears
Than Shwe does not care
Just shoots to death who dare
Inside chaotic Burma
[Note: This tragic poem is dearly dedicated to the deceased heroes who shed their blood and sacrificed their lives for the sake of democracy and freedom during last year’s September Saffron Revolution in Burma. Let’s continue keeping our faith for democracy till freedom and justice prevail in Burma.]
