26 June 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military carried out multiple airstrikes near Mindat town, southern Chin State, on Friday.

Local sources reported that a fighter jet from Naypyidaw’s Aela Air Base carried out an airstrike on a location near Mindat town at approximately 3:26 pm, dropping two bombs.

Earlier in the morning, at around 6:00 am, a Y-12 bomber aircraft from Tada-U Air Base conducted six bombing runs over eastern Mindat, dropping more than 20 bombs in clusters of four.

In total, SSPC aircraft carried out seven airstrikes, dropping more than 22 bombs on areas in and around Mindat township.

Information regarding casualties and damage was not immediately available. Local sources said assessments were ongoing. – Reporting by Ben
