Heavy air and ground activity reported in Mindat and Saw Areas

8 June 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out multiple airstrikes in Mindat township, Chin State, and nearby areas.

According to local sources, two jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base carried out three separate airstrikes on a location in eastern Mindat township between 10:23 am and 11:15 am, dropping six bombs in total.

During the same time period, a Y-12 aircraft also conducted repeated bombing runs, dropping bombs in multiple sorties—approximately 40 bombs in total across nine passes.

Earlier in the morning, at around 7:30 am, 7:35 am, and 7:48 am, two jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base conducted three separate airstrikes on the eastern part of Mindat township, dropping six bombs.

In a separate development, local sources also reported ground troop movements in Magway Region’s Saw township. Around 300 troops were seen leaving Longshe township in four military vehicles, additional smaller vehicles, and motorcycles, heading toward Saw town.
