Junta carries out multiple airstrikes in Pauk township

3 June 2026 —  The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out a series of airstrikes in Pauk Township, Magway Region, on 2 June, according to local sources.

The attacks reportedly targeted areas in the eastern and southeastern parts of the township, including areas near Ye Pya village, and were conducted in multiple waves throughout the day and night.

According to local sources, an L-410 UVP-E20 military transport and bomber aircraft from Tada-U Air Base carried out nine bombing runs over a location in southeastern Pauk township between approximately 7:30 am and 8:00 am.

Later in the morning, at around 8:38 am and 8:44 am, two fighter jets from Magway Air Base conducted two additional airstrikes on the same area, bringing the total number of morning attacks to at least 11.

In the evening, a Y-12 military transport and bomber aircraft from Magway Air Base launched another series of attacks targeting eastern Pauk township. The aircraft began its operation at approximately 8:15 p.m. and reportedly carried out around 11 bombing runs between 8:19 pm and 8:54 pm.

Local sources also reported that two fighter jets from Magway Air Base conducted two further bombing runs later in the day.

Information regarding casualties and damage resulting from the airstrikes was not immediately available. – Reporting by Ben
