SSPC drone strikes kill 10 in Tedim township

7 May 2026 – At least 10 people, including seven members of People’s Defence Force-Zoland (PDF-Zoland), were killed after the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military forces carried out drone strikes on an AG (Assembly of God) church in Phunom village, Tedim township, Chin State yesterday.

According to local sources, the attack destroyed the AG church and killed four female and three male PDF-Zoland fighters, along with several civilians, including members of a community cooking team assisting resistance forces.

The SSPC launched the first drone attack at around 4:00 pm, dropping three bombs on the village. One bomb exploded while two failed to detonate. A second strike followed at approximately 6:00 pm, directly hitting the AG church and setting the building ablaze.

An elderly villager was also seriously injured by shrapnel during the attack.

Local media outlets, including the local online media reported that the casualties and damage were based on preliminary information from sources on the ground. – Reporting by Daniel
