30 April 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) launched multiple air attacks on Khuaimual village in Tedim township, Chin State, early this morning.

Local media reports indicate that two Yak-130 jet fighters, reportedly departing from Tada-U Air Base, carried out three bombing runs between approximately 7:00 am and 7:15 am.

The attack targeted an area near the junction connecting the villages of Heilei and Tuicilh.

While local sources are currently assessing damage to homes and infrastructure, the full extent of the destruction remains unclear. There is no confirmed information regarding casualties or injuries, and independent verification is limited by ongoing communication challenges in the area.

This incident is set against a backdrop of intensified SSPC aerial surveillance and airstrikes across Chin State, with recent operations reported in areas like Kyindwe and Falam township.

Furthermore, the escalation has prompted warnings from the Chin People’s Union about a high risk of renewed fighting in southern Chin State.

The SSPC is also reportedly mobilizing forces near Mindat town for a potential offensive. – Reporting by Daniel
