30 March 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military air-dropped a total of 131 supply bundles to its bases in Falam township, Chin State yesterday.

Local sources confirmed the continuous air resupply efforts, which consisted of two separate drops executed on the same day. The heavy reliance on air logistics is a direct result of ongoing challenges with ground transport, which have been severely impacted by resistance operations.

Joint Chin resistance forces have implemented road blockades and launched attacks targeting junta ground columns in the region, according to local intelligence.

The first and larger drop occurred in the morning, between 9:00 am and 10:00 am. A Y-8 transport aircraft, reportedly operating from Meiktila Shante Air Base, successfully parachuted 115 bundles of rations. The second drop followed in the afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, when an L-410 UVP-E20 aircraft, which took off from Magway Air Base, delivered an additional 16 bundles.

Chin State, a known stronghold of resistance against the SSPC military regime that seized power in a 2021 coup, has seen intense fighting between the SSPC and various revolutionary defense forces.

The necessity for the junta to rely on expensive and complex air-drops highlights the effectiveness of the local resistance in disrupting the regime’s ground supply lines in this difficult, mountainous terrain. – Reporting by Daniel
