19 November 2025 — The Zomi Federal Union/People’s Defence Force-Zoland (ZFU/PDF-Zoland) has announced the successful recapture of the strategically important Kennedy Hill camp in Tedim township.
In a video clip released yesterday, the ZFU/PDF-Zoland confirmed the takeover of the military outpost on Mount Kennedy, which had recently been seized by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) on 18 November.
The local defence group also highlighted the seizure of weapons and ammunition belonging to the SSPC.
PDF-Zoland, a member of the Chin Brotherhood alliance, explained that it had executed a tactical withdrawal from the hill camp late last month when SSPC forces advanced with significant strength.
The Kennedy Peak location was originally captured by local defence groups in November 2023. — Reporting by Daniel
