19 November 2025 – Myanmar’s military jetfighter launched unprovoked airstrikes on Taung Khin Yan village in northern Gangaw township, Magway Region last night, killing one man and injuring several others.

The aerial attack occurred at around 9:49 pm and 9:54 pm yesterday, when a jet fighter from Taungdwingyi Air Base dropped a total of three bombs in two separate strikes.

At least seven civilians were injured, including five men and two women. One man died from his injuries. More than eight domesticated cattle in the village were also killed.

Residents reported that the bombs landed directly inside the village, causing widespread damage to homes and livestock shelters. “The jet dropped bombs twice within five minutes. The explosions were extremely close to residential areas,” a local source told Yaw Alinn Tan.

The airstrike comes amid a surge in near-daily aerial attacks by the Myanmar military across the Yaw region in recent days.

Local communities have been urged to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect themselves. – Reporting by Benjamin
