29 October 2025 – Myanmar’s military junta continued its aerial bombardments on civilian areas in Chin State, with the latest incident occurring last night in Taingen village, Tedim township, around 11:30 pm.

Reports indicate a jet fighter dropped two 500-pound bombs on the village, one of which did not detonate. The attack injured a 33-year-old woman and destroyed several homes, according to local sources.

Full details regarding the extent of the damage and casualties are still emerging.

Concurrently, residents in Tedim town reported hearing a series of gunshots in Mualkawi village, Tonzang township, suggesting armed clashes between local defense forces and Myanmar military troops advancing towards Tonzang town.

Hundreds of junta troops reportedly departed Tedim town for Tonzang yesterday.

The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC), formerly known as the State Administration Council (SAC), has significantly increased troop reinforcements in Kalay town and across Chin State in recent days, utilizing military helicopters and planes.

A local source confirmed that the SSPC deployed troops by air into Tedim town on three consecutive days, with at least four deployments on Sunday, eight on Monday, and six on Tuesday.

A Tedim resident, speaking anonymously to Chinland Guardian, suggested the troop movements aim to clear the way for planned elections, recapture the Tonzang area, and counter attacks from local defense forces.

These ongoing troop deployments and continuous airstrikes have forced hundreds of residents to flee their homes, seeking refuge in forests and nearby villages.

Earlier this week, on 27 October, a scouting military plane was observed hovering over various border locations, including Rihkhuadar, an Indian-Myanmar border town in Falam township; Rezua town in Matupi township; and Chinlung, another border area in Thantlang township, where the Chin National Front is based.#
