SAC drops around 100 bombs on Pauk township

16 October 2025 – Myanmar’s military junta conducted a series of airstrikes on Pauk township in Magway Region consecutively on 14 and 15 October. 

Local sources report that approximately 100 bombs and 120mm shells were used in these aerial attacks.

SAC’s military used Y-12 reconnaissance and transport aircraft, conducting more than 20 bombing runs. A local man told Zalen that a Y-12 aircraft from the Tada-U airbase repeatedly bombed the northwestern part of Pauk township, dropping bombs in the morning and evening, firing 120mm shells in series.

On 14 October, the junta forces dropped bombs in 11 rounds, ranging from two to six bombs each time. On 15 October, they bombed nine times in the morning and four times in the afternoon, primarily targeting areas near Ye Phyu village. 

The extent of damage and casualties remains unknown.

This latest offensive follows an earlier airstrike in Pauk township on 12 October by an SAC gyroplane, which resulted in injuries to one civilian man and damage to several houses. – Reporting by Benjamin
