MATUPI, Chin State, 16 October 2025 – SAC’s military junta launched another airstrike on Matupi town at around 3:30 pm today.

A jet fighter, reportedly flying from the Tada-U Air Force Base, carried out the attack, marking the third airstrike in recent days on the town which is under the control of local defence groups.

Local sources report that the aerial bombardment targeted the Border Areas Nationalities Youth Development Training School, previously managed under SAC’s Ministry of Border Affairs

The result of the strike has not yet been confirmed, and verification of damage and casualties is still ongoing.

Reports indicate that two 500-pound bombs were dropped near the centre of the town, resulting in several fatalities, though initial information suggests the victims were not residents of Matupi town. – Reporting by Benjamin
