New Chin State parliament building set to open in March
27 January 2015 – The government of Chin State said that construction of the new parliament building would be finished by the end of March this year.
Dr. Ba Maung, Chin minister for Social Affairs, told the Chinland Post that the State government planned to move into the new building on 1 April 2015.
Recently, the government provided an additional fund for the building as the construction work went over the original budget of 7,734 million kyats.
Nang Za Mung, Chin minister of Finance and Revenue, said that another four different companies had started work for construction of 15 houses for ministers.
It is estimated that the whole construction will cost 15,467 million kyats in total upon completion.#
