Chin religious leaders met in Rangoon

06 December 2013: Chin leaders from religious organizations and churches came together and discussed the ways in which they can collaborate more closely in the future.

The meeting initiated by Rev. Dr. Stephen Hre Kio was held at the Bible House in Rangoon on Tuesday, with 14 participants including professors, pastors and Roman Catholic bishops.

Rev. Thang Tin Sum, Literature and Culture Director of the Myanmar Council of Churches (MCC), posted on his Facebook page that the discussion came up with points of responsibility on various issues as Christians.

He added that a new working committee had been formed in order to organize and continue a meeting as such in broader perspective in the time to come.

It is believed that dozens of Chin Christian leaders and pastors from both inside and outside of the country are meeting in Rangoon next Thursday.#
