Ministers Attended Gospel Music Festival in Rangoon

18 October 2011: Dr. Myint Thein, Ministry of Social Affairs and Saw Tun Aung Myint, Minister of Karen National Race Affairs, attended the second Gospel Music Festival (GMF) at the Thuwanna National Stadium in Rangoon last weekend.

At the music event organised by Christian leaders, the two ministers invited as special guests gave short speeches to the audience, according to a committee member of GMF.

Peter Din told Chinland Guardian: “The festival ended successfully and we are thankful to have received support from the participants and guests including ministers and foreigners.”

Many people gained spiritual strength through sermons, sharing, songs and prayers, Peter Din added.

A group of Burma’s famous Christian singers alongside music bands, Grace and Christian Musician Fellowship (CMF) wowed the attendees at the two-day festival.

The first GMF event took place at the Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) in Rangoon in November last year, followed by its DVD production of the festival.
