ZAUS Recieved Award from Asian Reporter Foundation
26 April 2011: The Zomi Association of USA (ZAUS) was last Friday presented the ‘Exemplary Community Volunteer Effort’ award by the Asian Reporter Foundation for its outstanding contribution to community activities in Portland, Oregon, USA.
One of this year’s three recipients including Oregon-based Filipino and Asian Pacific American associations, ZAUS received the award at the 13th Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet held at the Legin Restaurant.
ZAUS has been praised for its community-related voluntary services over the past three years and for receiving the award.
The Zomi Association, founded in 2009 in Portland, Oregon State of USA, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing community services, building a network of support for communities across USA and connecting with other Zomi associations worldwide.
Officially launched in 2003, the Asian Reporter Foundation is committed to bringing all Asian communities together, and creating opportunities through events for sharing, educating, and celebrating Asian culture and heritage.
