SSPC conduct multiple airstrikes between Mindat, Htilin and Kyaukhtu

21 July 2026 — The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out multiple airstrikes on an area between Mindat, Htilin, and Kyaukhtu townships at around noon on Tuesday.

According to local sources, two fighter jets operating from Tada-U Air Base, one fighter jet from Magway Air Base, and another fighter jet from Naypyidaw’s Aye Lar Air Base carried out approximately six bombing runs at around 12:00 pm, dropping more than 10 bombs in total.

Local sources also reported that earlier in the morning, a Y-8 aircraft dropped packages containing supplies near Gyi village, while a Y-12 aircraft carried out bombing attacks in the same area.

At the time of reporting, a Y-8 aircraft was continuing to drop packages containing ammunition and supplies at Artillery Battalion No. 368 in Kyaukhtu.

Meanwhile, an E-20 aircraft was still circling over an area between Saw and Kanpetlet townships, according to local sources. – Reporting by Ben
