17 March 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) carried out multiple airstrikes in Matupi town, Chin State, on Tuesday afternoon, according to local sources.
According to the local initial report from Ĥkl Mindat, at approximately 1:08 pm, a jet fighter, reportedly departing from Tada-U Air Base, conducted three consecutive bombing runs targeting a location within the town.
The extent of damage and any casualties have not yet been confirmed, and independent verification remains ongoing.
The latest incident follows a series of airstrikes reported on 13 March. According to local sources, two fighter jets carried out three bombing targeting areas near Matupi town dropped a 500-pound bomb on the hill base of Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 304, a former military installation in Matupi.
