23 December 2025 — An alliance of Chinland Defence Forces, known as ZZLMS (Zotung, Zophei, Lautu, Mara and Senthang) has announced that youths must carry official recommendation letters when travelling within its controlled areas in Chin State.

According to ZZLMS’s statement issued on 20 December, individuals aged 15 to 35 in Hakha, Thantlang, and Matupi townships must obtain a recommendation letter from the relevant ZZLMS units before traveling for emergency purposes.

The alliance said the measure was introduced due to the ongoing conflict and applies to youths travelling outside their local areas. It also called on young people to fulfil their responsibilities during the resistance period.

ZZLMS further urged Chin communities to remain united and cooperate with Chin defence forces in efforts to end military rule and build a Chin State with full self-determination.

ZZLMS is an alliance of five Chinland Defence Force groups: CDF-Zotung, CDF-Zophei, CDF-Lautu, CDF-Mara, and CDF-Senthang.#
