17 December 2025 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military launched airstrikes yesterday, dropping over 20 bombs in the vicinity of Khuangli village, near Falam town in Chin State.

The SSPC’s attack on the Khuangli village area on 16 December involved the dropping of more than 20 bombs. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties as the villagers had already evacuated to safety.

Sources indicate that the SSPC column advancing from Taingen village of Tedim township towards Falam town, after retreating from Bualkhua village, crossed the Var River and headed towards Khuangli village.

This movement led to exchanges of fire with Chin revolutionary forces yesterday. Consequently, the SSPC carried out the aerial bombardment of the Khuangli village area yesterday.

Furthermore, the SSPC column attempting to ascend from Webula town to Falam town has been unable to advance due to resistance from Chin revolutionary forces and remains stationed near Sumhrang village.

Currently, residents of villages surrounding Falam town are still displaced and seeking shelter in safer areas. – Reporting by Daniel
