9 December 2025— The Myanmar State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) has escalated its operations in Kanpetlet town, Chin State, launching multiple airstrikes today following several days of continuous aerial surveillance.

According to local sources, three jet fighters from Tada-U Air Base carried out six bombing runs, each releasing two bombs on a location inside the town, at around 12:00 pm. Residents reported loud, repeated explosions and widespread panic.

The attack came after reconnaissance flights on 6 December, when SSPC aircraft flew over Kanpetlet town from morning until 4:00 pm, prompting fears of renewed airstrikes.

Today’s airstrikes follow earlier SSPC attacks on 2 December, marking a clear escalation in the SSPC’s military pressure on the area. – Reporting by Benjamin
