30 December 2025 – Heavy shelling launched by the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) on Sezang village in Tedim township this evening instantly killed a 10-year-old boy.

The attack, confirmed to have originated from Myanmar military’s LIB 269 based in Tedim town, also injured two young males, aged 17 and 19. Both injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Tedim General Hospital, according to local sources.

A resident of Sezang reported that the weapon landed in the compound of the Baptist Church, hitting and killing one of the children who was playing there. Other children were also injured.

Local sources indicate that LIB 269 troops have been launching heavy weapons into nearby civilian locations, including Sezang, since 27 December.

Clashes between local defence forces and SSPC’s troops have intensified in the vicinity of Kennedy Hills in Tedim township for days.

Sezang village, situated adjacent to Tedim town, is home to approximately 160 households.#
