Canadian MPs say Junta, USDP Responsible for Suu Kyi’s Well-being

18 November 2010: Now that the long detained pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been freed, the onus is on the ruling regime and  its likely successor Union Solidarity Development Party (USDP) to ensure the well-being and safety of the popular Burmese leader, an all-party group of Canadian Parliamentarians said on Tuesday.

15 November 2010: The Chairman of the Chin State Peace and Development Council (SPDC) ex-Gen. Hung Ngai has ordered an investigation into how each member of the civil servants voted during the November 7 elections after the junta-backed Union Solidarity Development Party (USDP) lost all contested seats in three Townships of northern Chin State.

Suu Kyi to Attend Funeral of Colleague’s Wife Today

14 November 2010: After addressing a jubilant crowd earlier today, Suu Kyi is set to attend a funeral service for the wife of U Lwin, her close colleague and spokesman for her National League for Democracy (NLD) party at Yay Way cemetery in the outskirts of Rangoon.

ASEAN Urged to Support Burma Probe

Chin Activist Received St. Stephen’s Prize In Norway
