14 November 2010: After addressing a jubilant crowd earlier today, Suu Kyi is set to attend a funeral service for the wife of U Lwin, her close colleague and spokesman for her National League for Democracy (NLD) party at Yay Way cemetery in the outskirts of Rangoon.
According to a source close to the NLD in Rangoon, U Lwin’s wife passed away last evening just moments before Suu Kyi was released from house arrest.
Yay Way cemetery is located just outside of Rangoon, about 40-minutes drive from the heart of the city.
