School students buy desks, chairs for classes in Paletwa

28 June 2015 — Some high school students in Paletwa town, Chin State are required to bring their own chairs and desks for studying in their classes.

A Paletwa elder told the Khumi Media Group that students at the Basic Education High School branch had to buy chairs and desks as the school didn’t provide them for them.

“The government just built a school building. So, students had to get on their own what they needed to use in the classes,” he said.

School teachers said that only new students had been asked to buy their own chair and desk.#
