Myanmar’s junta carries out repeated airstrikes near Kanpetlet

14 July 2026 — Myanmar military fighter jet and a Y-12 bomber carried out multiple airstrikes near Kanpetlet township, Chin State, in the evening today.

Local sources reported that a fighter jet from Tada-U Air Base conducted two bombing runs at approximately 8:36 pm and 8:47 pm, dropping a total of four bombs on a location near Kanpetlet.

The same sources said a Y-12 bomber also carried out repeated bombing runs, dropping bombs in clusters of three and four. 

As of 9:36 pm, the aircraft had conducted around seven bombing runs and was continuing to circle over the area.
