4 May 2026 – Members of the Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA), reportedly aligned with the State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) military force, are conducting widespread surveillance and operational activities throughout Tedim town, Chin State, according to local sources.
ZRA personnel have been observed stationed at multiple locations across the town, including near the central clock tower in Myoma Ward. They are said to be carrying out monitoring activities in both civilian and military attire, with a presence in several locations.
Following a 1 May statement by the ZRA-EC (Zomi Revolutionary Army-Eastern Command) accusing People’s Defence Force-Zoland-led forces of operating in Tedim township and warning against attacks, the group has reportedly increased its military presence in the town, likely to curb local resistance forces.
Rising tensions have prompted many residents in Tedim town to flee to safer areas. – Reporting by Daniel
