30 March 2026 — A motorcycle rider was killed early this morning in a collision with a car on the Mindat–Matupi road, Chin State, on 30 March, local sources reported.
According to an initial report from the Matupi Times, the accident occurred around 18 miles along the route. The rider, identified as Mr. Tun Aye Khine, an ethnic Rakhine, died as a result of the crash.
The motorcycle was also damaged. Local community leaders are continuing to investigate the incident.
Local leading members have urged drivers and passengers travelling on long-distance roads to exercise extra caution. They advised the public to contact relevant administrative bodies and cooperate in the event of accidents, rather than taking independent action. – Reporting by Ben
