14 January 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted an airstrike on Lente village in Falam township, Chin State, at approximately 1:00 am this morning.

The attack involved a jet fighter dropping three bombs on Lente village, resulting in damage to churches and residential buildings.

A local resident stated: “A bomb hit near the Roman Catholic Church. Another hit near the Revival Baptist Church. And one was dropped outside the village. Two churches are damaged. Houses near the churches are also damaged. Now, the villagers have fled.”

The airstrike resulted in no casualties, as only a small number of residents had remained in the village. Most had already been internally displaced (IDPs) due to previous SSPC airstrikes in the vicinity.

Lente village is approximately 15 miles from Falam town and is located on a route used by the SSPC from the direction of Webula town.

Previously, on 11 January, an airstrike in Tibual village, Falam township, resulted in the destruction by fire of the sub-township hospital and six housing units. Airstrikes also targeted Sim Dihai and Tibual villages. – Reporting by Daniel
