12 January 2026 – The State Security and Peace Commission (SSPC) conducted an airstrike targeting Tibual and Sim Dihai villages in Falam township, Chin State, last night.

The aerial attack, carried out by an SSPC jet fighter around 8:40 pm on 11 January, involved dropping at least two bombs. The strike destroyed the hospital in Tibual village and damaged at least six civilian residences.

As of now, there are no confirmed reports of civilian fatalities or injuries from the attack. Local sources have confirmed the destruction of the hospital and nearby houses but have reported no casualties.

Tibual village is located approximately 40 miles from Falam town, near the India-Myanmar border.

A local resident reported that the damage to the hospital facilities included the main patient building, staff quarters, and an operation theatre.

Tibual village was previously an SSPC and subordinate police force base until it was captured by the Chin National Defence Force (CNDF), a member of the Chin Brotherhood (CB) alliance, in 2023. – Reporting by Daniel
