16 December 2025 — The Chinland Defence Force–Paletwa (CDF-Paletwa) is leading the construction of a new road in Paletwa township, Chin State, to improve transportation for local communities.

The road connects Bawi Li village and King Kang Kung village in Sami Sub-township. The area was previously difficult to access, causing delays for residents travelling for health care, education, and livelihood activities.

CDF-Paletwa members are currently carrying out road widening and levelling works using machinery.

Local residents said the road will improve access during emergencies, especially for medical needs. Once completed, the project will benefit not only Bawi Li and King Kang Kung villages but also nearby communities.

CDF-Paletwa said it is contributing to community welfare and local stability in addition to its security-related activities.

Local sources confirm that the Arakan Army controls only Sami town, while the surrounding villages in the sub-township are under the control of CDF–Paletwa. – Reporting by Ben
